MAN FORM AND AFTEREruch Jessawala And Naosherwan Anzar Eruch: The Advent means Infinite Consciousness manifesting itself as the God-Man in human form, and when this human form is dropped, i.e., when the Avatar sheds His Man-form, the Infinite Consciousness continues to be so. It being Infinite Consciousness, it cannot help but be conscious infinitely. God-Man means God becomes Man, i.e., God draws upon Himself the Illusion-garb and enforms Himself, to mingle with mankind under certain circumstances so that mankind has the opportunity to feel tangibly His Love, Compassion and other attributes more freely and forcefully. And when the God-Man sheds the Man-form, He, as God, continues to be infinitely conscious of His Creation and creatures and is mindful of His lovers who are His and who continue to adore Him in their hearts. The proof of His being mindful of His lovers even after He has shed His Man-form is that time and again He manifests as the Avatar not only for mankind but also for rare individuals who love Him wholeheartedly and pine for a sight of Him in the form they adore. Naosherwan: Another thing that bothers me, especially since I am asked this question by others and it is difficult to reply. Baba has emphasized the importance of following a Master in the body. He has said, it is no use visiting tombs, etc. for spiritual benefits. He said the power of the saint or Sadguru remains in the vicinity of his body, but that people visiting it would get only material benefit. People ask me if, now that Baba has dropped His body, should they seek a Master in the body. I tell them that, for me, there is only Baba. But, you must admit they have a point since Baba did stress the importance of a Master in the body. And this might be particularly important for those who never did meet Baba in the flesh. Eruch: That which is given by a Sadguru (Perfect Master) unto a Chargeman is not Power, for it is already in him, but the Authority to use it. A Sadguru can work a lot of good for the world when in body. After death, a Sadguru enjoys eternal Bliss; the Power is also there with him, but NOT the Authority to use it. So wherever there is a Tomb or Samadhi of a Perfect Master, there the power is; but only the intensity of faith of a devotee can draw benefit from it for his betterment i.e., external betterment only. It is for this reason that people generally derive material benefit from the resting places of perfect Masters. Direct internal (spiritual) benefit can only be imparted by a Perfect Master when in body form. While he is in physical form a Sadguru does not give us anything, but he reveals to us the Treasure that is already within us! And this is his greatest giving while in the body. This is his duty. Duty therefore is Authority. While on duty in physical form, he utilizes his Power for the good of the world, but keeps himself aloof from the Bliss of Oneness. When Sadguru (Man-God) drops his body, he ceases to wield his Authority and be of help to humanity. Nevertheless, he continues to experience his Sat-Chit-Anand State eternally.
