YOU HANDLED GOD'S BODYHarry Kenmore I was to do my work in my way to give me the complete freedom and the use of His body for this reconstruction work. I had a cart blanch to do virtually anything I pleased. Of course, I recall now the first time that I gave Him an adjustment. He said, "Now you handled God's body. You handled the body of God." Later He would say "That you're having a very peculiar Sahavas with Baba." And another time He stated, at the common mandali meeting on November 27th, "That it would seem that Dr. Kenmore was giving Sahavas to Meher Baba." But, He told me to continue to do my very best, yet always leave the results to Him. Now there were many suggestions given to Baba in the management of His condition, which until then had not been carried out. I was appalled at the lack of normal attention that should have been given to Baba, yet was neglected, such as sitting Him in a proper chair with the proper angle of the knees, in relation to the hips. There was a certain way in which He was to rise from a chair to be seated in a chair and a correct way in which He was to get out of bed and into bed. Also, the particular position He must assume while in bed. Attention was also given to the manner in which He was carried upstairs. We had a shelf built across the feet of the chair so He could rest His feet, which before were left dangling in mid-air, as it were, when He was taken up for the night. It is the infinite patience and supreme tolerance of this deficiency in His comfort which bears proof of His Divinity to the last detail. Baba plays out His role as a human being to perfection, awaiting as it were upon the love of His close ones, to supply out of their love, the proper knowledge that is indicated for the creation of His comfort and well being, in this particular manner.
