HEART TALK - Letters between Baba and Dr. Goher Irani - Sixth Letter

Attached to this 6th Heart Talk letter to Baba from Dr. Goher is a 
reply from Baba via Adi Sr. It is dated 6 February 1938.

Dadar 6th Feb '38

Dearest Baba,

I completed my Prelim exam yesterday and through Your Blessings hope to 
have done well in the papers. My University exam will be commencing 
after the 1st March and I hope my dear Lord You will guide me in that 
as You have always done before. I am obeying Your orders which keeps 
me happy and contented.

Dear Baba please let me know whether I should accompany Naoroji and 
family to Nagar on the auspicious day of Your Birthday and when.

Mother left for Nasik last Wednesday, I had not been to see her here 
for some days due to my studies but went to see her off at the 
station, and I found her greatly distressed, for Major Mehta asked her 
to come back on the 17th or 18th inst for the diagnosis of her 
internal tissues lest he fears about Cancer. The word has shocked her 
and she has been feeling very sad since then. My dear Lord I hope You 
will do something and save her from getting any trace of this 
incurable disease. The doctor says that she has not got it now but he 
is not sure about the future. My Sweet One I understand that You love 
her and us all and know what is best for her but still I beg of You to 
save her from the forecoming disaster. I have faith in You and am not 
much worried about the same and am carrying on well with my studies.

Adi Reply as follows

Come with Chanji's family either with the I party on the 15th or with 
the II party on 17th as you like. You to stay on Tanki hill [Meher 
Retreat building, Upper Meherabad].

Don’t worry about mother 
She won't have cancer
