HEART TALK - Chanji's Diary - Ninth Installment

Friday-4th January 1929

There was nothing particular, except the "sweeping off" of those 
members who had to go.

August new visitors, there was one Mr. ---, who came with Mr. Satha's 
brother. He was said to be an engineer in this dist.

To Arangaon!

At around 7 pm, Shree and Mandali, being specially invited to Arangaon, 
to attend the marriage ceremony of the sister of Bapu Janardhan (an 
old student of HBHS [Hazrat Babajan High School]), and a devotee of 
Shree, went to Arangaon, in a procession. A welcome party came to 
receive Shree just half the way up the hill, and with the typical 
Indian music and dance etc. and amidst clouds of dust, the procession 
was taken round the village and entered the village temple where the 
marriage ceremony was performed - the bride and the bridegroom had 
Shree's darshan - and then the party was taken to Bapu Talati's vada 
[big house], where tea was served-to all. - The party entered at 
around 9 pm, in procession up til this (hill) side of the post office.

Saturday-5th January 1929

Nothing particular till afternoon, except private meetings - as to how 
to pull on and how long!

A surprise

The beloved Chhota Baba, who had only just left around 2 days back, 
appeared, walking along the road from station to Arangaon, and Padri 
and Adi who were coming from 'Nagar, picked him up, and brought him 
here-- ! It was no small surprise for all.
