Lord Meher]

Saoner.
The 30th April 1940.

27th May

My dear darling Baba,

My best and sincerest Pranam to you in whom I am told I shall
find a Perfect Master and everything I revere as God. I came
across many saints but could not get full satisfaction from
them and hence though I have an earnest desire to have a
Spiritual Guide, I could not have one.

Beloved Baba, I believe in the cycle of cause and result and
at once in the existence of the One and Supreme Cause. This is
my God. I do not like the idea of visiting the shrines of our
family Deities, despite the threat of being put to suffer many
unseen worldly agonies; for, I think that if God is
Omni-present and All-embracing, these Deities cannot be
separate from Him. I remember them. I beg guidance in this
respect, please.

My dear Baba, likewise, I believe in the ever-multiplying
bundle of Sanskaras which every individual self must carry
with him till before it reaches its destination. I am a self
that has indulged in the maddening wine of the Cupid. I am
much afraid of my spiritual future. The inevitable result of
this indulgence is that I have a shattered health, a broken
memory, a dirty mind, an impious heart and very poor financial
stability.

I am pretty sure of the power of a Sadguru -- as is contained
in the Sanskrit line -- Kartum+ kartum+Anyatha kartum [I keep
doing and doing,  but You will undo all my actions (i.e.,
annihilate my sanaskaras)] .  If I do not get a timely
awakening from You, I am bound to degenerate more.

I, therefore, most sincerely pray to You, my world-wide
respected Baba to bless me kindly with:--

1. A sprinkle of Water Divine on me to sanctify my impure
mind.

2. A current of Light Divine to expel out of me the Devil
Darkness.

3. Help on across the path leading unto You.

and 

4. An early opportunity to have the Sweet ?.[further pages of
