  HEART TALK - More Original Letters: Tenth Letter
  
  A 1940 letter from Chanji to Baba, who was traveling with
  the women's group in the Blue Bus and cars, along the
  Eastern coast of India, on their way back to Meherabad. 
  
  The focus of the letter is the former editor of  the "Meher
  Message" K. J. Dastur. Ever since Dastur left the ashram in
  1931, he publicly distanced himself from Meher Baba and
  wrote articles against Baba in the press. Nevertheless,
  privately he would write Baba plaintive letters pleading for
  money "just one more time ..." 
  
  Much to the mandali's consternation, Baba would usually
  send him some amount, and Dastur would promise to pay
  back the money as soon as he was able.
  
  But in April 1940, despite Baba's repeated help to him out of
  his love, Dastur wrote to Baba that unless he was loaned
  money again, he would be forced to take legal action
  against Baba, filing a lawsuit and dragging Meher Baba's
  name into court for "breach of promises," made to him by
  Baba over the years.

  Bangalore - April 7.
       
  Dear Baba-
       
  I received one cover containing letters - for disposal - and
  copies of Dastur's letters - asking our opinion. Adi [Sr.] has
  Arrived this morning but hasn't yet come to our bungalow -
  We shall 3 [Chanji, Ghani, Adi Sr.] sit together when he
  comes - and let you Know our views re: this - tomorrow.
       
  Good [Baba's comment, in Mani's handwriting]
       
  Meanwhile, I am sending you copy of another letter received
  today - which goes to the extreme - in giving you a threat -
  and holding you responsible for all his [Dastur's] frailties and
  follies. It has gone to the limit - and must be severely dealt
  with. We shall write to you definitely tomorrow, after
  discussions among ourselves.
