HEART TALK - More Original Letters: Sixth Letter
This is a handwritten letter by Mani of Baba's dictation to
Chanji, who was in Bombay. The letter was dictated sometime
at the end of April 1939, after Chanji had paid a visit to
Panchgani.
"Behram" is Baba's brother Beheram, who is being instructed
not to go to Karachi (where Baba's family had relatives) but to
stay in either Bombay, Dahanu or Jabalpur.
"Ali Akbar" is Aloba, who was living in Bombay in 1939.
"Gowher" is Dr. Goher, who was in medical school in Bombay,
staying at the home of Chanji's brother and his family, which
included Arnavaz and her sister Nargis.
In the letter, Baba is calling Chanji back to Panchgani, with
instructions to bring with him Goher, Arnavaz and Nargis, who
had summer holidays. (They were unable to reach until the 2nd
of May.)
Baba's signature is at the bottom of the letter.
Some adjustments have been made for clarity. The original can

Dear Chanji,
May 1 '39
Tell Behram I received his letter. Tell him he should not go to
Karachi till 1st June. He should either stay in Bombay, Dehenu
or Jubblepore.
See Ali Akbar and tell him I received his letter. I know his
unbounded love for Me and how he feels the separation. Give
him my love and tell him we will meet in June.
Tell (personally) Gowher, Arnavaz, Nergis, to be ready to come
with you on the 1st you must all be here on 1st noon.
LOVE
