HEART TALK - More Original Letters: Fifth Letter

This letter to Baba, about certain instructions given, is from
Rashid Irani, who, along with his family, were early devotees
from Bombay. 

Dehnu [Dahanu] and Boisar - are towns located about 60 km.
north of Bombay.

Bombay 8th April 1939. 

His Holiness Shri Meherbaba, 

I beg to inform you that since you had been to Bombay and you
had ordered me for twenty days eating once daily and twice
drinking tea. I am doing the same regularly and I think promptly. I
had twice tea and once food up till now daily with water and
sometimes ice cream and sometimes fruit. Now 14th will be the
day of my keeping fast with milk once daily. Now I want to know
that my milk diet will be once daily that is fixed. Meanwhile can I
have any fruit or ice cream or any other thing beside milk and
food or not. I do not want to force you to allow me any other thing
but as I am not sure of the details and restriction about it so I ask
for a clear and detailed instruction for which I hope you will be
kind enough to inform me before the time of milk diet. 

Another point is that again my sister-in-law's husband is trying to
harass me by buying a lorry and send the fruits and vegetables
by road from Dehnu Boisar etc. which will be a great loss to
business which for years is maintaining my family. I hope your
blessings will do something for me so that he will leave the idea
and my business will remain as prosperous as to maintain my
family when I come to you at the end of this month according to
your instruction.
