Ahmednagar, Sept. 30 [year unknown]

My darling Leyla,

Your letters from Surrey are all duly to hand. The change in Spain
seems to have made you much good in health, but my delight is greater
for the work you did for me in bringing some dear souls nearer to me,
even though unseen yet. They will see me, if not this X-mas, later.
Some of them are fine, and will be useful later, in future.

My leaving here is not yet definitely fixed. It all depends on the
completion of arrangements over there. That will be done. It is a
mere question of time, and a little test for those who work, and also
for those who wait.

I am glad you are going to the office once a week for the present, to
help Will. I know it is very far for you to go there, and that you
would do much more if you were nearer. But don't worry. I know how
anxious you are all the while to do something - anything - for me or
my work. That feeling and keen desire in itself are enough.
Opportunities will always come if one has the desire to do some work.
Leyla's only desire in life was to "love", and live or die for that
love for her beloved, but my Leyla has also the desire to "serve" her
Beloved! How lovely! Isn't it splendid!

Well, darling, there is nothing more to write but to send my love for
my ever-faithful Leyla, whom I expect to meet soon.

Give my love to all the dear ones you meet,
