In January 2007, the Trust inaugurated its "Online Library," which at
that time consisted of twelve books available in pdf format on the
Trust's web site.

We're happy to be able to announce several significant new additions to
the library "collection" that will be of special interest to students of
the _Discourses_. Published by Adi K. Irani and the "Publication
Committee" (as it was called) between 1939 and 1943, the "Five-volume
set" represented the first complete compilation of Meher Baba's
sixty-nine essays. Written up and edited mostly by C. D. Deshmukh, the
discourses in this their original form have been out of print and
unavailable for most of the last half-century.

A decade after its first publication, Charles Purdom, a close Western
follower of Meher Baba, undertook the first major re-edit of the
five-volume set; and the fruit of his labor was published in 1955 in
London under the title _God to Man and Man to God_.

Pdf files of both of these early editions of the _Discourses_, along
with the pdf file of the seventh edition (published in 1987 and still in
print), can be found at:
http://www.ambppct.org/meherbaba/Discourses.php. On this page, you will
also find supplementary material providing an overview and concise
histories of the various editions of the _Discourses_.

In the near future we plan to add the original (1967) sixth edition of
the _Discourses_ to the Online Library collection. We hope that access
to these early editions will be of use to Baba lovers who would like to
read Baba's discourses in their earlier forms or study the development
of the text of this masterpiece of practical spirituality.
