[Meher-Center-Messages] Holiday Reservations Lottery Update & Passing of Lawrence (Hermes) Reiter

Greetings from Meher Spiritual Center,

As you may have read in our Winter newsletter, this year the reservations for 
Christmas and New Year's Eve holidays (Friday, December 21 through Tuesday, 
January 1) will be done by lottery rather than by phoning in on September 1st. 
A holiday reservations lottery form was included with the Winter newsletter 
and we had intended to send another copy of the form with this Summer's 
newsletter in plenty of time for the forms to be filled out and mailed to us by the 
September 1st deadline.

However, the Summer newsletter was delayed and not mailed until yesterday. 
Therefore, the deadline for us to receive the lottery form has been extended to 
September 15th. If you'd like to get a lottery form right away, we can send 
one as a PDF (Acrobat) file attached to an email.

Also, we regret to inform you of the passing of Lawrence (Hermes) Reiter on 
August 23rd. Hermes was a long-time resident of Myrtle Beach and supporter of 
the Center. For many, many years he was the primary supplier of photographs of 
Meher Baba, and he also published Bhau Kalchuri's 20-volume biography of Meher 
Baba, _Lord Meher_. A memorial gathering will be held this Sunday, August 
26th at 2pm at the home of Jerry Edwards, 11 South Gate Road.
