Meherabad Hill Library is an official organ of Avatar Meher Baba Trust
working under a Library Committee headed by the Chairman of Avatar Meher
Baba PPC Trust. From its traditional reading room status, now the library
is expanding into a more outreaching phase for the benefit of
ever-increasing number of pilgrims coming to Beloved Baba's Samadhi. Two
extension activities have been added to the library. First, to apprise the
new pilgrims about Baba's life and work through short Baba films and Baba
music. Baba-lovers are requested to donate a copy or two of their music CDs
which they have produced or will be producing in the future and also Baba
films in various languages which various Baba centres are producing. These
films will be used as a source of educational medium for the new pilgrims
and also added as another multimedia dimension of the Meherabad Hill
Library, which is running here on Meherabad Hill since 1969. Nana Kher was
the founding member of this library who tended it till his very end. The
material can be sent to Jal P. Dastoor, Trustee, AMBPPC Trust, Meherabad
Office, Meherabad, Ahmednagar (MS) India 414006 for the Hill Library. The
phone number of Jal's office is 0241-2548777. The other activity that of
the library that is underway is a new exhibition based on photos and charts
showing Baba's life and work. This aspect is coming to conclusion shortly
and this permanent exhibition will be open for the new pilgrims and general
public on weekdays. Various individuals have already helped with photos and
charts to set up this. In the future, on specific days the exhibition will
show specific exhibits related to Baba's various phases of work in which
Baba-lovers can also share in various ways. Jai Baba, Gokaran Shrivastava,
Librarian, Meherabad Hill Library
