Dear Friends,

Last Friday someone had the idea of setting the garbage pit at Lower
Meherabad on fire and we have been choking on toxic fumes from burning
plastic ever since...

A lot of us realize that it is urgent to do something about proper garbage
disposal.

I am happy to announce that Gusi Carpenter has organized the pick up of
recyclable garbage in cooperation with Prithvi. All you have to do is sort
your trash as explained below and arrange with you neighbours and Gusi to
get the vehicle to make a stop in your area.

I encourage all to join in this effort to keep Meherabad and its
surrounding clean!

There will be a recyclable garbage pick  up between 8.30 and 9.30 on
Saturday morning, 27th January, starting at the Garden Condos, going then
to the Stone Terraces, down by Heather and Eric's and Meher Colony, Pat
Sumner's house and around to the Nurse's Quarters and through Meherabad.

Garbage needs to be separated into burnables and non burnables:

   paper (no used tissues), cardboard, newspapers

   plastic bags (please leave reasonably clean), plastic containers,
glass including broken glass, cans of all kinds (washed), polystyrene

   Compostable wet waste will also be picked up - please leave in a
tied up bag.
