The Combined Diary

Baba asks the mandali to share in his fasting for the next eight months for nineteen hours a day, one by one in rotation,
folios #280-283, June 17-22, 1926.

Due to a mistake of some of the mandali, Baba refused to attend the weekly tea party until Kaka Shanane's wife coaxed him to come. "Very interesting explanations followed thereafter for a long time." Returning to Kaka's place in Arangaon the next day, Baba again "conveyed some fine remarks on the Origin of Humans." From that day, a pressure-gas lamp was used at Meherabad.

Among the many visitors, Baba promised a certain sadhu sight of God if he kept silence for a year, eating only once a day. Though the sadhu agreed to try, he began complaining within the first day, and so was sent off to Narayan Maharaj.

Baba asked the mandali to share in his fasting for the next eight months for nineteen hours a day, one by one in rotation. The Moslem festival of Bakri-Id was celebrated at Meherabad with sweets and explanations. But when some of the mandali indulged in the leftover sweets the next day without permission, they paid the price.

Baba revealed to the mandali that there are always fifty-six God-realized persons in the world, five of which are the perfect masters. He also gave more information about the circles of the perfect masters, and how they correspond to the different parts of the physical form.
